Dr. Robert Sharon

Dr. Robert Sharon (Director) began piano lessons at the age of five; gave his first recital
at the age of seven; was an honor graduate of The High School of Music and Art;
was a scholarship student for his entire course of study at The Juilliard School, where
he was awarded his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Piano and received his Ph.D. in Performance
from New York University and The Manhattan School of Music. He has studied under
such world-famous pianists as Mitchell Andrews, Jane Carlson, Mieczyslaw Munz
and Artur Balsam.

Dr. Sharon has been the featured performer in Carnegie, Avery Fisher, Tully and Town Halls,
The Kravis Center, Broward Center, Gusman Hall and many venues throughout the world. He
has been soloist with The New York Philharmonic, The Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra,
The Florida Philharmonic and The Palm Beach Opera Orchestra. Dr. Sharon was Pianist/
Assistant Conductor with the Fordham University Chorus (under the direction of David Labovitz),
The Pro Arte Chorale (under the baton of John Nelson, noted conductor of The Metropolitan
Opera, The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and The Ensemble Orchestral de Paris),
The Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra (under the direction of Raffael Adler), The Palm Beach
Atlantic University Oratorio Choir (under the direction of Dr. Ray Robinson), The Palm Beach
Opera Chorus (under the baton of Anton Guadagno), The Florida Philharmonic Symphony
Chorus and The Master Chorale of South Florida and he directed the internationally-recognized
Impressions Chorus of Wellington High School (Florida). He has won critical acclaim in
chamber music and as accompanist and coach, having worked with such luminaries as
Abraham Kaplan, Jennie Tourel, Samuel Sanders, Willard White, Itzhak Perlman, Andre Thomas,
James Conlon, Dr. Jo-Michael Scheibe, James Judd, Philippe Entremont, Marilyn Mims
and Virginia Zeani and as an Artist-in-Residence at The Dreyfoos School of The Arts. 


Dr. Sharon was the piano soloist for Ballet Florida
